Founder/Physical Therapist
Caio Muharram, PT, DPT, CSCS
Caio graduated from the University of Colorado at Anschutz Medical Campus, earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2021. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NCSA) and is certified in dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAOMT).
He grew up as a multi-sport athlete, and still strives to be the most well-rounded athlete possible. His passion for rehabilitation, strength training, sport performance, patient education, and empowering others led him to a career in physical therapy.
Post graduation, Caio spent 3 years working with a variety of populations varying from pediatrics to geriatrics, weekend warriors to professional and Olympic level athletes, and women in the pre-to-postpartum phases of pregnancy. Individuals at all walks of life with varying goals of injury prevention and rehabilitation, increasing strength, improving overall fitness, sharpening performance, and enhancing overall quality of life. During this time, Caio further developed his passion for, and expertise on, the evaluation and treatment of acute, subacute, and chronic level orthopedic knee injuries. As an athlete, this was something he dealt with during most of his competitive sporting years, and because of poor rehabilitation, still does today.
“If I knew then what I know now, my knee would be in much better shape. I’m privileged to be in a position where I can use my knowledge, experiences, and passion to help others enjoy the overall rehab process I wish I had; what rehab should look and feel like. Physical therapy shouldn’t be a passive process. It takes effort, intention, time, and IS PHYSICAL. My goal is to bridge the gap between what people think rehab is, and what it actually looks like. That’s what drives me. That’s what truly fulfills me.”
Caio adopts a multi-focal, top to bottom approach to care encompassing functional movement and mobility screens, resistance training, manual therapy techniques, passive modalities, and goal specific performance and rehabilitation programming individualized to each patients wants and needs. He believes there is a time and a place for all techniques, and that it’s just a matter of appropriate dosage and intention.
Caio is married to his beautiful wife Astrid, and is a father of 2 amazing boys, Matu and Maxos. He was born and raised in Miami, FL although his family originally comes from Sao Paulo, BR. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
